The Confederation of African Football have announced the postponement of AFCON 2021 Day three and four due to fears of the Coronavirus outbreak.

A release from the African Football governing body this Friday states that, the institution prioritizes the health of it’s stakeholders and as a result of the current situation AFCON qualifiers games that were scheduled between March 25th to 31st have all been called.

The Confederation’s decision queues in a long list of decisions that have been taken by football authorities and institutions because of the health threats presented by the virus.

World Health Organization has declared the virus as a pandemic.

The CAF release states a new calendar will be communicated in future.
