Amid all the speculations surrounding Mbella Etouga’s exit, the latest transfer news is that Swiss Super League side FC Sion have submitted an official bid to sign the 20-year-old prolific finisher.
According to information on our table, FC Sion officials are negotiating with their Ghanaian counterparts as follow up to an offer made to Kumasi Asante and their player with the objective of luring him to Switzerland.
It is believed that the Kumasi outfit is keen on extending the stay of the lethal forward, but can they resist the temptation from Sion, Udinese Calcio and a number of clubs mentioned as interested parties so far?
The rumours surrounding Mbella’s exit from the Babayara Stadium do not seem to cease.
A fortnight ago Udinese was in advantage position in their attempt to sign Mbella, but Sion now looks to have created genuine competition in the race.
Mbella scored 21 goals and provided four assists in 30 appearances for the record Ghanaian champions, helped them win the domestic title last term reason coach Paolo Tramezzani wants him at the Stade de Tourbillon and president Christian Constantin is pushing for the player’s signature.
Kotoko signed the Cameroon international for just $20 000 less than a year ago. They look set to make windfall profits from the boy once a deal happens.
