Potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Gael Ondoua was one of the scorers in Saturday’s Swiss Super League three-goals thriller pitting FC Servette to FC Basel.
The Cameroon midfielder just returning from injury was drafted into FC Servette’s starting XI and he didn’t disappoint.
Ondoua scored his side’s second goal in the 2-1 win at home to a stubborn FC Basel side.
The midfielder’s 71st minute goal double the advantage the host established in the 62nd minute through Grejohn Kyei.
The goal was Ondoua’s first in 16 league appearances this season.
Ondoua was replaced in the 87th minute of the game with his side nearly certain about winning the three points.
A. M Cabral’s 93rd minute penalty goal for FC Basel reduced the deficit but the host defended properly till full-time.
The game ended on a 2-1 score in favor of the Ondoua’s FC Servette. The Club is second to Young Boys Bern in the championship this season with 34 points from 24 games ahead of their next game away to FC Sion of Christian Zock.
