In order to ascertain their medical and fitness level ahead of Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, the Lagos based side, FC Robo Queens players are presently undergoing medical tests at Teslim Balogun stadium medical center.
This was confirmed in a release by the Club Media Officer, Sunday Akintoye.
Chairman of the club, Emmanuel Osahon in Lagos said his players had started their medical test on Sunday which it would complete tomorrow.
He said twenty-eight players would complete their medical test as part of the club’s requirements ahead of the new season.
“Let me officially announce that FC Robo Queens players have started their medical test on Sunday and they would round it off tomorrow. We are doing this as part of the requirements given to us by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF. I thank God that most of my players have completed their medical test while the rest would complete their own today and possibly tomorrow morning,” he said.
Osahon said the medical test is very important and necessary so that players would know their medical and fitness levels. Aside from this, it would help the club owners and coaching crew to know the players that are fit for the league or not.
Osahon also revealed that the results of the medical test would be out on Friday for collection and urged his players who are undergoing the test to cooperate with medical doctors that would attend to them.
Captain of the team, Monday Gift expressed satisfaction with the medical test. She also commended the medical personnel for their commitment and ensure that all the necessary tests were carried out without leaving one untouched.
FC Robo Queens has produced the likes of Asisat Oshoala (FC Barcelona), Rasheedat Ajibade (Avaldsnes), and Chidinma Okeke (Madrid CFF). The Club narrowly missed out of the 2018-2019 NWFL Super 4 to eventual Champions, Rivers Angels, and are optimistic about their title prospects ahead of the 2020-2021 NWFL Premiership season.
