New Stars of Douala’s CEO, Faustin Domkeu has hinted, former Apejes and Sewe Sports Goalkeeper,Dande Junior could make his competitive debut for New Stars of Douala this weekend, if he is picked by the coaches.

20 year old Dande is currently a part of the Under 23 national team of Cameroon.
He signed for New Stars later last year from Sewe sport and could be in line to make his first appearance this weekend in the absence of suspended keeper, Kibyen Patrick Lionel.

Kibyen will miss Sunday’s clash against Gor Mahia because he picked a second booking away in Nairobi last Sunday.
New Stars have keepers with a wealth of experience to deputies in Kibyen’s absence in Dande or go for former Bamboutos FC keeper Fotso Toche.

“All our keepers have been prepared for this competition, it will be on the coaches to pick the one who can give us his best,Kibyen has been very good but suspensions are a part of this game” president Faustin Domkeu told on Wednesday.

Dande was a crucial part of the Apejes of Mfou team that finished 3rd in Cameroon’s top flight league while Toche played a part in Bamboutos FC occupying the same position in 2018.All keepers including suspended Kibyen trained with thier mates this Wednesday.

New Stars have a duty to keep a third consecutive clean sheet at home in Limbe, score to get their very first home win, against a Gor Mahia side still to win away from home during regular time and qualify for the group stage of the CAF confederation cup for the first time.
