Indomitable Lioness and Awa Ladies forward Farida Machia Machia and her attacking colleague Brenda Tabe Ebika were on target ib her side’s match-day five win away to Canon Yaounde.
Awa Ladies came into the fixture looking to return to winning ways after a difficult game during their last outing in the championship.
Both sides failed to get a goal in the opening 45 minutes in the early kick off at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo-Cameroon.
Upon the interval Awa Ladies became more daring with the attacking duo .
Nine minutes the second segment of the game, ‘red hot’ Farida Machia scored the opener for Awa Ladies.
20 minutes later, Brenda Tabe doubled the lead as Canon Filles looked to be struggling all along.
The visitors at the CAF Excellence center protected their two goals advantage till the end of the game making it a third win in five games this season.
The victory takes the girls of coach Hassan temporarily to the top of the log with 16 points, a point better than FAP who have a game in hand.
Machia has scored five goals and made four assist in six games this season with Awa Ladies while for Brenda Tabe it is her second goal in the championship.
