Cameroonian forward Farida Machia Machia has told kick442.com that Sunday’s 1 nil Super Cup defeat will not affect their season in any way has the team has moved on and is now focused on future assignments.
Braga Feminino lost the crown they claimed last season in an eventful Sunday evening.
Pauleta’s goal settled the contest but there was much to talk about on the night in Benfica’s Darlene waisted a penalty before Pauleta got her goal and even with 10 players following the sending off of Rayanne Braga fought hard but their attempts to get a goal were all killed by goalkeeper Dani of Sporting.
Having return to club only on Friday following her involvement in International football with Cameroon, Machia was thrown into the game with 25 minutes to go but the big Cameroonian could help Braga Feminino get the equalizer.
“It is a request for more efforts, we are focused on the next task, today’s game was very tough but its football with 3 outcomes, we accept this and move on” Machia told kick442.com
Farida Machia and her Braga mates face PSG in the first leg Women’s UEFA Champions League playoffs game before facing Sporting in Day 1 of the Boavista next weekend.
The next week is very important for Farida and her history making Braga side.
