15 times champions of Cameroon Cotonsports of Garoua have received financial aid from a Pan-African online sports portal kick442.com
The financial package was handed to the Cotton weavers by the CEO and members fans of the site Monday 7, December 2020 after their encounter against Unisport of Sokode in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Cotonsports is simply following same fate after PWD of Bamenda was handed same, minutes after their encounter with Kaiser Chief on Sunday November 29, 2020.
The package comes as a result of contributions made by fans of kick442.com in a WhatsApp forum to offer support to Cameroon teams participating in the 2020/2021 CAF interclub competitions. It was obtained during a three-day campaign launched in kick442.com’s WhatsApp forum where contributions were made to support both PWD of Bamenda and Cotonsports of Garoua
Kick442.com has been existing for just under two years now with over 10000 followers. The forum has over 200 participants with a collection of club presidents, coaches, players, investors, journalists, football lovers.
Besides providing news content on African football kick442.com is aimed at discussing football marketing and supportive ideas to better football in the country and Africa as a whole.
This portal operates in not less than seven African countries with representatives in Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi, Sudan and South Africa.
During the outbreak of the CoronaVirus pandemic, Kick442.com and a handful of Clubs also supported footballers in Limbe, Tiko and Buea with kits to combat the spread of the pandemic.
