AS Matelots‘ gaffer has told that his team won’t duel on Saturday‘s 3-1 home defeat against YAFOOT as their next game remains a priority.

Matelots came up against a complete YAFOOT FC side which outclassed and defeated them at home for the first time this season.

Steve Lionel’s first half equalizer for Matelots only ended up being a consolatory goal as the boys of coach Fang dropped all three points thanks to goals from YAFOOT trio Henri Dieudonne, William Ayissi and Hedmon Omgba.

“It wasn’t our day. Many things didn’t go as planned. There are days like this, we don’t attribute defeats to individuals, it is a collective Sports. We take the defeat as a team and continue preparations for the next game, the next game is more important than attributing the defeat to individuals“: Coach Fang James concluded

AS Matelots face Astres on Tuesday in Buea. Astres equally suffered a defeat in the last round of matches.

Both sides will seek redemption on Tuesday in a game only one side can win.
