Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Standard Liege defender Fai Collins Ngoran provided an assist which wasn’t enough to help his side side prevent a 3-2 defeat away from home against Scottish side Rangers on Thursday.
Fai Collins provided the assist for Duje Čop’s goal in the late phase of the first half to hand a 1-2 lead to Standard Liege after Maxime Lestienne’s opener for the visitors had been canceled Connor Goldson.
James Tavernier leveled matters for the host in additional time of the first half.
Unfortunately for Fai Collins Ngoran and his mates Scott Nathaniel Arfield scored the winner just above the hour mark.
The 27-year-old Cameroon International played the entire game but couldn’t stop a fourth defeat in five UEFA Europa League games this season.
Standard Liege are out of the competition and now have to concentrate on the Belgian Jupiler Pro League championship.
