Contrary to fears raised when the proposals to end the 2019-2020 Belgium Pro Jupiler League, Fabrice Ondoa and his 15th-placed KV Ostende side will not be relegated from the top-flight championship.
This comes after the league management body decided this Friday May 15th to officially hand the title to the league leaders before the suspension of the league, Club Brugge and relegate the botttom side Waasland-Beveren.
The decision means Ondoa and Ostende who were just above the relegation zone who be in the championship again next season.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper mostly watched helplessly from the bench as his club leaked in a handful of goals and drowned into the relegation zone in the just ended season.
Ondoa made just 12 appearances in all competitions for the club in the just ended season.
The La Masia Academy graduate now has 24 is in his third season at the club.
The 2017 AFCON winner is desperately in need of game time ahead of the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
Didier Lamkel Ze of Antwerp, Fabrice Olinga and Franck Boya of Royal Mouscron all had a great season in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
