In an intriguing two legged tie of the CAF champions League quarter finals between TP Mazembe and Raja Athletic Club, Raja was victorious with the help of their Cameroonian left back, Ngah Fabrice. Two goals at home from Badr Benoun and former Mazembe man Ben Molango meant Isaac Tsibangu’s goal in the reversed fixture was nothing more than a consolation for TP Mazembe.
Cameroon international and Raja Casablanca left back Fabrice Ngah made it through alongside his team to the coveted CAF champions League semi-finals after a heavyweight clash against T.P Mazembe in the space of 10 days.
Raja’s qualification was confirmed on Saturday, March 7 on aggregate; Congolese giants TP Mazembe defeated the Moroccan outfit by a goal to nil, but the aggregate scoreline (2-1) sent Raja Casablanca through.
Former UMS and Astres FC full back Ngah Fabrice helped his team a great deal throughout the both legs, playing 180 minutes and helping his side keep a clean sheet in the first leg.
Fabrice Ngah, 22, has put in a shift in all but two of Raja Casablanca’s two games in the competition; the full back did not play his team’s home and away tie against J.S Kabylie due to injury squabbles. However, Fabrice Ngah has gone ahead to play a whopping 8 games with combined minutes of 720 and scored a goal during that time.
Fabrice Ngah and Raja Casablanca will continue their hunt for the silver medal which has eluded them for over two decades. Ngah Fabrice meanwhile would have his sight set for the AFCON 2021 qualifier against Mozambique scheduled for March 26, which he has been preselected for.
