Indomitable Lions substitute goalkeeper at the 2004 AFCON and multiple winner of Cameroon League 1 and Cup of Cameroon Kameni Mathurian has parted company with his long time employers Stade Renard of Melong.
He leaves Melong after 6 years at the club as a goalkeeper and later as a goalkeeper coach masterminding the club’s ascension to the Top flight from the third tier Championship.
The former Cotonsport, Kumbo Strikers and Racing of Baffousam keeper who joined Stade Renard of Melong before the 2014 after 5 years at Egyptian side Haras El Hodoud leaves the club as cult hero.
At the age of 37 in the 2015 National Interpool he was voted the best player in the tournament due to his heroics in promoting Stade Renard of Melong.
The 41 year old former Indomitable Lion first came to prominence in the early 2000’s when his magical performances between the sticks helped Kumbo Strikers win the Cup of Cameroon against the expectations of many,he was voted man of the match in the final before moving to Cotonsport of Garoua where he became a Cameroon International and made the Lions 23 man squad at the 2004 AFCON.
He played for Stade Renard at the Regional, League 2 and League 1 level before serving the club as goalkeeper trainer for 2 years.

Kameni is in the West Region to complete formalities before the announcement of his capture as Feutcheu FC’s replacement for former goalkeeper trainer Mbaynaissem.
“I want to embrace a new challenge at this new club, I had a great time in Melong but all good things have an end.
“For now we have a deal in principle and I will finalize things as soon as possible,I will be an employee of Feutcheu FC next season” : Kameni told kick442.com.
At Feutcheu FC he will work with experienced keeper in Sadjio Eric.
