Coach Ebanda of Colombe of Dja has recieved a huge to his side’s aspirations to have a great season following the return of experienced Center-back Bienvenu Djob Lidjoh to the first team for the first time since October 2020.
The Club captain who limped off injured 18 months ago while playing for the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon has completed his race to full fitness and starts this afternoon for Colombe as they look to continue their brilliant run against Union Sportive of Douala.
Lidjoh suffered an anterior cruciate ligament damage in October 2020 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium while playing for the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon in a friendly in the build up
This Saturday’s game will be Lidjoh’s first for Colombe since he last captained the South region outfit in their goalless draw at home to Stade Renard of Melong in on March 11, 2020.
The 24-year-old former National Polytechnic of Bambui defender will skipper Mani Bertrand and mates this afternoon from 4PM at the Reunification Stadium as Colombe looks to complete the double over struggling Union Sportive of Douala.
Players and fans of Colombe will certainly be buoyed by the recovery and return of Djob at this crucial stage of the season.
Colombe with three wins in last four games is currently ranked fourth on the log in Pool B after picking up seven wins from 14 matches.
