A long week of waiting for YOSA fans has ended without the return of their 22 year old Cameroonian International Defender, Bong Lionel Ngong.
The teams squad for their round 5 commitment against AS Fortuna in Yaounde was made public this Saturday without the name of the young right back though some section of the media had signal his return to the squad this week.
Bong enjoyed a great 2018 season with YOSA and even earned a call up to the Senior National selection of Cameroon but multiple interest away from the club has made him unavailable for the club since start of this season but last week he hinted his return to the club when he told kick442.com that he at least for now can only play for YOSA if he has to play in Cameroon.
“I have had a sincere talks with top Bosses at the club within the last week,my Coach and the President,i will have loved to return to Bamenda and resume work with a club I grew up supporting but unfortunately health challenges made it impossible, working had to recover quickly and continue developing as a player. I will endeavour to visit the team tomorrow before the game and my friends know even when they play without me being in the field, I remain a loyal supporter of the club” Bong told kick442.com this Saturday evening
YOSA face struggling AS Fortuna this Sunday at the Yaounde Annex 1 Stadium and the club will be without key defensive duo,Adu Wum and Cyril Fonou who picked up a knock a week ago against UMS of Loum.
YOSA is the only League One club still to conced a goal this season and the return of Bong can only Enhance Coach Ndoumbe Bosso’s boys maintain their best defensive record kept last season.
