Kick442: First
Can we meet you
Who is Anjor Mary?

Anjor Mary: Wow, Anjor Mary is an 18 year, honest and God fearing girl who has great passion for football. I am from Ikom Local Government Area, Cross Rivers state.

Kick442: How did you start your football career?

Anjor Mary: My career commenced from my primary at St Mary’s Primary school, Onitsha, Anambra State.

Did your parents support you when you decided to go into football ahead of school or career like banking, medicine, modeling engineering, journalism, etc?

Anjor Mary: My parents never accept the fact that their female child will be playing football or doing sports.

Kick442: During the Naija Women Football League Awards, you thanked Osun Babes, how has Osun Babes contribute to your career success?

Anjor Mary: Again, I want to say a big thank you to Osun state government for the financial support to the club. Also, thanks to the management and team officials for the opportunity, believe and courage they gave me, to show the world the potentials in me while I was with the team Osun babes.

I feel great and excited, when I was announced the winner of the two awards (attacker and player of the season), but also all praise and glory to God almighty.

Kick442: Are you putting football with education together , or it’s just football?

Anjor Mary: Football and academics

Kick442:Were you able to meet your goal scoring target in the just ended season?

Anjor Mary: Last season, I scored 6 (six) goals during the regular season. That is six (6) goals in six (6) matches.

But I was unable to meet my personal season target.

Kick442: During the Super 4, it seems the goals dried up for you as you couldn’t find the back of the net and can even afford to have three assist in the third place 4-0 win over Adamawa Queens, what happened during the Super 4?

Anjor Mary: Personal I was disappointed not finding the back of the net in both matches, but helping my team win the third place match against Adamawa Queens by giving three (3) assists makes me happy with such impressive performance.

Kick442: Then your club, Bayelsa Queens surrendered the trophy to Rivers Angels finishing third at the Super 4, how do you feel about not retaining the trophy with your club after beating Rivers Angels 2-0 earlier on during Champions Shield?

Anjor Mary: I was not able to help my club retain the trophy made me disappointed. Bayelsa Queens is a good side also and deserve to still retain the trophy, but in the sector of football, three things is involved you win, lose or draw.
