Kaaba scored 11 goals, provided four assists in 20 Elite 1 games last season
Cameroonian forwards Mbella Etouga, Junior Kaaba and their agent Amadou Fontem Tigana have left Cameroon for Ghana this Friday morning.
Tigana is coming to Ghana to complete formalities for the transfer of 23-year-old Junior Kaaba from Cameroonian side Fauve Azur and discuss Mbella Etouga’s future with officials of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
This Pan African Sports News Agency understands the Kaaba deal which was initiated weeks ago will be finalized this weekend once he completes medicals and other formalities including registration by Hearts of Oak by Monday.
Kaaba, scorer of 11 goals last season is set to sign a two-year deal after Hearts agreed a transfer fee with Fauve Azur’s president Nya Norbert Nkamenjo.
Hearts manager Samuel Boadu will be delighted to land his top forward who has proven his worth in the land of the Indomitable Lions- Cameroon.
Signing a striker has been a priority for Hearts this summer after they struggled last season in the Ghana Premier League.
Kaaba is set to come in and lead the line for the Phobian, but he also has the ability to operate out wide, too.
“I am going to Ghana to score goals,” Kaaba told kick442.com in a chat before departure.
The ex-Colombe goal poacher noted for his physical aptitude has a good reputation in front of goal and is expected to hit the ground running with the multiple Ghanaian champions right away.
Kick442.com understands the 23-year old will be officially unveiled by the club sometime next week as supporters patiently wait for the official announcement.
On his part, Mbella Etouga’s departure from Kotoko is expected to be on the agenda when Tigana meets the Kotoko management. The 20-year-old striker who scored 21 goals in 30 games last season is expected to sign for Italian side Udinese Calcio.
Tigana masterminded the transfer of Mfegue Georges and Mbella Etouga to Hearts’ eternal rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko last summer.
