Former Berekum Chelsea forward, Stephen Amankoma who agreed a 4 agreed a 4 year deal to join Hungarian side MTK Budapest earlier this Month has told kick442.com that his New Football environment is better and presents fewer difficulties.
Speaking to kick442.com on Sunday Evening, Stephen;
“My best step was to move forward ,Now I am under contract I will stay and focus”
”I signed for MTK because I want to improve my football just like any ambitious player, determination is my keyword here as I want to progress”.
”Our conditions here is better than in Ghana,The Ghana League presents so many hardship but I am sure it is better here. I have had fewer problems adapting and that’s keeping me happy.”
Stephen joined Berekum Chelsea in 2016 from lower League side,Jaffer United but left to join the Hungarian side Earlier this month.
Stephen scored 6 Premier League goals for Berekum Chelsea in the 2017/2018 season before the League was halted following the release of the popular Anas Number 12 Video.
He was a part of the Ghana Under 20 squad that helped qualified the Black Satellite for the ongoing Under 20 AFCON currently taking place in Niger.
MTK Budapest currently occupies the 6th spot in the 12 clubs Hungarian League one Championship after 21 games played this season.
With barely days before the end of the Championship Stephen’s impact at the club may be bigger from next season.
