Senegalese born Secretary General of the world governing body of football, FIFA Fatma Samoura has sent words of encouragement to the Cameroon Under 17 national football team while informing the team she will be unavoidably absent from their first 2019 World cup game against Tajikistan this Monday.

Fatma currently serves as FIFA Delegate at the Confederation of African Football making her a key component of football on the continent as at now.

She attended the opening game of the ongoing World cup tournament in Brazil plus Senegal’s games last weekend. On Sunday evening, she sent words of encouragement to the current African champions through the president of the Cameroon football federation ahead of their first game on Monday.

Relaying the message at the Lions base at the Golden Tolip hotel in Vitoria, president Mbombo Njoya stated: “All African teams have won, the champions should not settle for anything less than victory” from Mme Fatma Samoura.

Cameroon face Tajikistan this Monday evening in Brasilia at 8PM local time which will be midnight in Cameroon.

The current FIFA delegate at CAF who doubles as FIFA SG will surely watch today’s game from Zurich-Switzerland with hopes that the Lions display the kind of determination which helped them conquer the continent in April in Tanzania.
