There is a likelihood that there will be no Abdoulaye Yahaya for Cameroon in the 2021 African nations Championship planned for early next year.
The 19-year-old sensational winger has joined Croatian side NK Lokomotiva on a one-year contract, kick442.com has gathered with the player’s Transfermarkt already updated to include Yahaya in their squad.
The APEJES of Mfou player is expected to leave Cameroon before the end of the month to join up with the rest of his Club colleagues for the rest of the 2020-2021 season.
We understand the Club signed the player earlier this month, registered and pending travel formalities.
The Club already listed the player in their squad for the rest of the season.
Yayaha is one of 50 new signings at the Club and it is his first professional contract abroad after tryouts last year in Italy failed to get him a contract.
Noted for his trickery on the ball and ability to go pass defennders, Yahaya will be expected to have an instant impact and lift his Club out of the 9th spot they currently occupy in the 10 Club Croatian top-flight Championship after six games.
Coach Martin Ndtongou Mpile will have a tough task to replace the boy considered as the most gifted player in the intermediate Lions squad during the Yves Clement Arroga era.
Yahaya featured in five international friendlies for the intermediate Lions and assisted once.
Besides his development at APEJES of Mfou, he has also had stints at the famous Brasserie Football Academy in Douala-Cameroon.
Yahaya joins, Thierry Akono Akono, Pascal Mbarga Abega, Simon Omossola and returning Thierry Tchuente to have left the intermediate Lions squad for abroad before the CHAN scheduled for January 16th to February 7th across four cities in Cameroon.
