Versatile Honved Budapest Cameroon defender MacDonald Ngwa Niba,25 had the time of his life when his mother Niba Margaret Njuh visited him in the Hungarian capital in September.
The mother of five arrived Budapest on Wednesday September 30,she in October left after spending a month with the third of her five children.
The player who could not attend his father’s funeral last year because for circumstances beyond his control. Niba expressed his delight to see his lovely mother who made the trip just to be with his son for a few weeks.
“I was so delighted beyond words to see her again after two long years. The last time I saw my parents was in 2017,” MacDonal told kick442.com.
“Unfortunately I did not get to see my father again because he unfortunately passed away. So you can imagine how delighted and emotional I was when I saw my mum.
“She made me all kinds of delicious African dishes which I have been craving for a long while now, like eru, egusi soup, ndole, okro, ekwang and all the rest you can imagine, mother is Gold
“It was even more special because she added a mother’s touch to it which always brings something additional.”
The former CINYODEV of Buea defender moved to Hungary at the beginning of this season after a successful two-year spell with Slovakian club Nitra, where he was one of the first players on the team-sheet every weekend.
The League One Ontario defender of the year in 2016, during his time with North Toronto Nitros is, gradually establishing himself at Budapest Honved and hopefully the coaches of the Indomitable Lions have their eyes wide open.
