English Premier League outfit Southampton have showed interest in signing French youth international Evan Ndicka.
Southampton joins Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham on the list of clubs that want the Auxerre youth product.
Southampton are keen in strengthening their defensive compartment, with Nice defender Malang Sarr and Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu of Valladolid also on their radar.
Evan Ndicka joint Frankfurt in 2018 from Auxerre and the 20-year-old versatile defender has made 42 league appearances with a goal to his name since then.
Though he has represented the French national team at youth levels he is still eligible to play for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, the national team of the country of origin of his parents.
The European summer transfer window is slated to open on June 18, 2020 but the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic which has hugely altered the the global football calendar has left many speculating that FIFA will likely push the date forward to give way for the completion of the domestic seasons in most European countries.
