Lloyd Harris on Thursday put up a brilliant performance to outshine his opponent at the European Open in Antwerp.
The South African, ranked 90th in the world had one over world number 28, Taylor Fritz in an interesting encounter that ended 2-0; 7-5, 7-6 (3).
The victory over the tournament 7th seed, sees Lloyd progress to his second ATP 250 quarter-final in as many weeks.
22-year-old South African had reached his first ATP final of his career after winning 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-3 over Tommy Paul but lost to Rublev/Auger-Aliassime in the Adelaide Tennis final early this year.
He plays Ugo Humbert of France who took out No. 2 seed Carreno Busta 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 at the quarter-finals in Antwerp tomorrow.
