Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Standard Liege defender Fai Collins Ngoran provided an assist in his side’s 2-2 draw at home to Benfica in match-day six of the 2020-2021 UEFA Europa League game on Thursday, December 10.
The in-form defender once again had an impact in as his looked to end the dissatisfactory European season in style.
The game lived up to expectations from the beginning as N Raskin of Standard Liege scored the opener 12 minutes from kick off and Everton equalized four minutes later.
The game stayed on the same score till the break.
It was until the 14th mi of the second segment and the introduction of Cameroon’s Fai Collins Ngoran that there was another goal.
Fai with his first touch connected with Tapsopa who scored the second for the host and put Benfica in a difficult situation.
Somehow Pizzi scored the second equalizer for Benfica from the spot-kick.
The game ended on a 2-2 score thus protecting Standard’s good run at home to Portuguese opponents.
Fai Collins’ assist is his second in five games in this season’s competition and sixth in all competitions.
Despite the draw, Standard Liege are out of the competition and now have to concentrate on the Belgian Jupiler Pro League championship.
