Swiss Super League Champions Young Boys Bern of Cameroon-eligible trio Jean-Pierre Nsamé, Nicolas Ngamaleu and Jordan Siebatcheu has picked up an important point in the ongoing UEFA Europa League this Thursday.
The boys of coach Gerardo Seoane Castro played a 1-1 draw away in Romania against CFR Cluj in a game Nsamé and Nicolas Moumi started.
Both sides left everything as it was with a goalless first half display which lacked spark.
It took 17 minutes of the second segment for Mario Rondon to put the host ahead.
The goal spur Young Boys Bern to multiply their efforts to at least rescue a point.
Seven minutes after they conceded, Christian Fassnacht equalized through a solo effort for visiting Young Boys.
With 16 minutes of regular time left, Jordan Siebatcheu replaced compatriot Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu.
Both sides failed to score in the remaining minutes of the game obliging them to settle for a point apiece.
Nsamé led the line for Young Boys Bern from start to finish though he failed to increase his goal tally this season.
The point is the first Europa League point this season for the men from Bern.
They host bottom-placed CSKA Sofia next Thursday at the Stade de Suisse but before then there is the ‘little business’ of Lugano to worry about this weekend in the Swiss Super League.
