Best Stars Academy of Limbe Under-16 goalkeeper Arrey Etta Desmond performed unimaginable heroics to send his side to the semi final of the 2020 Limbe International Youth tournament this Wednesday in Limbe.
The 14-year old custodian came off the bench in a technical masterclass from the Best Stars Academy technical staff.
The game ended on a zero all score forcing the quarter final into the penalty shoot out.
The super substitute goalkeeper justified his timely inclusion by saving two penalties and scored one of his own in the 4-3 win.
They challenge Njalla Quan Sports Academy of Limbe Under-16 in Thursday’s semi-final at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium Annex.
His performance typifies that of previous keepers that have come through the ranks of Best Stars Academy.
Ekoi Manfred and Mohamed both goalkeepers of the youth categories of the Cameroon national selection have had a stint at Best Stars Academy.
