After eSwatini’s 4-1 thumping in the hands of AFCON 2019 beating finalists Senegal, a pitch invader dressed in all white, known to be an eSwatini pastor was reportedly lynched post match.

A Swaziland reporter on ground called Sanele Jele told Ghana’s that: “we tried to interview him after the game. He said he was sent by local authorities to go and perform rituals on the field.”

“What is so strange, all the goals came after the man entered the pitch and held the goal posts and started praying.”

As per further inquiries, the man came into the field when the referee had vacated players of both sides out of the pitch due to a heavy downpour.

He headed straight to the home side’s goal and on bended knees, prayed for sometime.

When the game resumed at the 58th minute, a Famara Diedhiou treble and Badou Ndiaye’s goal made Fanelo Mamba’s effort for eSwatini a mere consolation.

Astonishingly, all quartet of Senegalese goals was scored in the between, the sticks, the pastor had prayed for, causing him to incure the full wrath of the public who did not sit down well with the action.
