Esther Sunday was on target for her Turkish side, ALG Spor in the course of their 7-0 victory over Kimechburnu on Saturday.
Sunday scored the opening goal of the game in the 20th minute to put her side ahead.
Eight minutes later, Derya Arhan doubled the Gaziantep side’s lead.
In the 31st minute, Ebru Topçu made it 3-0 before four goals from Mali’s Bassira Toure completed the route.
Gaziantep Alg Spor Kulübü will play Kayseri Youth in their next game as they continue the Turkcell Women’s 1. League.
Esther Sunday has previously played for Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership sides; Sunshine Queens and Pelican Stars, as well as FC Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League.
She has also played at the international level for the Nigeria women’s national football team in several tournaments with the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup silver medal and two African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) titles.
