Two-time African champions, Enyimba International FC have crashed out of the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League despite their 2-1 win against El Merreikh of Sudan on Wednesday.

El-Merreikh’s first leg hat-trick hero, Seif Terry gave his side the lead in the eighth minute to give the Sudanese side a comfortable 4-0 aggregate lead.

Former Remo Stars Sports Club forward, Victor Mbaoma equalised for the People’s Elephant in the 15th minute.

Victor Mbaoma put Enyimba ahead for the first time in the game in the 51st minute but his brace could not rescue the Aba-based Club from a 4-2 aggregate defeat after they were beaten 3-0 in the first leg.

The result meant that Enyimba will drop to the CAF Confederation Cup.
