Stephane Bahoken's Goal

It was another busy weekend for Cameroonian Footballers plying their trade abroad with contrasting Fortunes as usual.

In South Africa;

Junior Awono and his Stellenbosch mates beat Ubuntu Cape Town 2 nil to open a 7 points lead in the South African First Division.Their closes challengers,Ajax Cape Town is on 33 points. Awono occupied is holding midfield role for his 17th of 19 games this season.

In Equatorial Guinea;

Young defender,Enow Benji had another impressive outing against UD. Estrella Roja as his Club Ceiba F.C kept another clean sheet to make it 2 in 3 games this season. Ceiba FC Currently occupies the 7th Spot on the Log.

In Congo;

Former Bamboutos FC winger, Abagana Moussa watched from the bench as his TP Mazembe team created history after they beat Club Africain by 8-0 to record the biggest win of all time in the group stage of the CAF Champions.

Still in Congo,veteran goalkeeper Nelson Lukong Bongaman was on Goal for AS Vita against JS Soura and picked up the ball from the back of his net Twice as share the spoils in the CAF champions League game.

In Tunisia;

Franck Kom was involved from the start and helped defending CAF Champions League Champions,Esperance of Tunis keep a clean sheet away to Orlondo Pirates in a CAF Champions League game. Kom occupied the holding midfield role.

In Switzerland;

Nicolas Moumie Ngamaleu scored a header in the 48th minute of play for his club,Young Boys as they beat visiting Xamas 2 nil in Match day 18 of the Swiss Super League.Ngamaleu has scored 6 goals and 1 assist in 18 League Matches this season.He was partnered up front by his International colleague Jean Pierre Nsame who got substituted in the 75th minute of the game.

In Belgium;

Fabrice Ondoa watched from the bench as his KV Ostende side accepted a 2 nil defeat in the hands of visiting Royal Antwerp of International Colleagues Fabrice Olinga and Frank Boya.

In Turkey;

Center back,Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik featured in the entire game as his club Kayserispor came back from the home of Yeni Malatyaspor with a point after a 1 all draw in match day 20 of the Turkish super League.

In Portugal;

Forward Joel Taugueu was booked in the 80th minute of the game as his side,CS Maritimo suffered a 1 nil defeat away to Chaves in match day 24 of the Portuguese Super League.

In Holland;

VVV paid for the ”crimes” of Feyenood a week earlier as Onana’s  Ajax Amsterdam inflicted a 6 nil defeat to visiting VVV in match day 20 of the Dutch Eredivise. Andre Onana kept another Clean sheet.

In Italy;

Nicolas Nkoulou was sent off in the 65th minute of his side’s serie A clash against Spal 2013. Torino went on to win the game by 3 goals to 2 and immediately after the game Nkoulou apologized to the Torino family via Instagram.

In the Serie B,Midfielder Joseph Manila was involved from the start as his club Salernitana played a virgin draw away to Calcio Padova.The 22 year old midfielder was booked in the 46th minute of the game.

In France;

Forward Stephane Bahokeng scored the lone goal for SCO Angers to get 3 points against Dijon.Bahoken’s goal was his 7th in 20 French Ligue un games this season.He joined the club from Strasbourg in the build up to this season as replacement for Toko ekambi who had moved to Spain.

Still in France but for Olympique Marseille,forward Njie Clinton came off the bench in the 67th minute of Marseille’s game against Reims but could only contribute an 81st minute goal to half a 2 nil deficit as his club accepted a 2 goals to 1 away defeat.Njie has scored 2 goals in 9 Ligue appearances this season.

In Croatia;

Forward Dani Ndi scored a goal for his side Istra  as they faced Slaven of his compatriot Rodrigue Bongongui.The game ended on a 1 alls score and his club Istra now occupies the 9th spot in the Croatian top flight championship.

In Spain;

Midfielder Wilfried Kaptoum started for Real Betis as they registered the most amazing La Liga Results of the weekend.Betis beat Athletico Madrid 1 nil at home thanks to a Canales goal.The win keeps the club’s hopes of qualifying for European competition very much alive as Betis now occupies the 6th spot on the log.

Still in Spain,Veteran midfielder Achille Emana has resumed train at his New Club CF Badalona as he continues enjoying Football in the lower championships around the world.

 

In England; Gaetan Bong was solid at the back for Brighton as they kept a clean sheet at home to Watford in Matchday 25 of the English premier League.

Yann Songo’o also did well at the back for Plymouth in his less than 5 minutes on the pitch but importantly he scored the winner for his team against Peterborough after being introduced by his coach to come and protect their back line for an away point. Yann handed his team a 1 nil win away from home.

In China;

Stephane Mbia has return to China barely months after he ended the first 2 years spell with Hebei Fortune.This time around he has agreed a deal and joined Super league side Wuhan Zall FC.

The Lions keep Roaring around the world as the next AFCON tournament edges closer for the defending Champions.
