Former Elmina Sharks defender Enock Kojo Abakrow has rubbished the story making rounds that he has quit football at age 24.
Enoch first saw the information on his Facebook page as hackers announced his retirement due to the fact that, he has not got a club after his release from Elmina Sharks three years ago.
This was posted on his Facebook timeline;
“Difficult decision but let me use this medium to thank you all for your support you gave me on the field. I have to make it official, I have quit football at the age of 24. Big sorry to my fans and the football fraternity God time is the best”.
But Kick442.com findings later on Monday revealed that he was not aware of such write-up on his Facebook timeline.
According to him, one of his close friends who is a mobile phone repairer picked his phone which his Facebook password has been saved permanently, logged into it and typed it there.
“One of my close friends called Alex who is a mobile phone repairer picked my phone without my knowledge. My Facebook password has been saved permanently so he just entered and wrote it there that I have retired from football. I cannot do such a thing at this tender age.”: Kojo stated
He said, he didn’t even know until someone called him and told him about the stories going round.
“Someone called me and told me that, he has seen a story of my retirement on my Facebook wall so I went and checked and it was true. I didn’t know about it” he added.
Enoch went further to explain that since the only person whom he knows has been using his phone is Alex, he went straight to him and he admitted.
“I went straight to him and he admitted that he did it. In fact, it took the intervention of the elderly people in the vicinity to calm tempers down”.:He concluded
He however appealed to his fans to disregard the story about his retirement.He has assured them that he is possibly signing a contract with a premier league club next week and they will really see new Abakrow.
The former Unicorn FC, Tarkwa United, Sekondi Eleven Wise and Karela United center back helped Elmina Sharks to qualify to the premeir league under Coach Kobena Amissah but unfortunately, he lost his position when Coach Yaw Acheampong took over the club.
