Rangers FC of Bafut has suffered first home defeat 3#1 at University of Bamenda’s school field from Leopard Sportive of Douala counting for match day four for Rangers FC and Day Five for Leopard.

Sama Tandjong’s brace and one from Adolphe Mouandjo Mbella held the visiting side back home all three points.

The win for Leopard maintains them at the top of pool B with 13 points from four wins and a draw. While Rangers FC holds seven points from four games.

First Half

Both teams started on a forefront gear keeping a highly spirited play with Douala based club Leopard mounting much pressure on Rangers FC of Bafut. Little or no major actions.

Beautiful combination from Rangers FC’s midfield duo Djibero Durrell and Tabufor Ernest intercepted most set pieces initiated by Leopard Sportive, keeping Ranger’s hopes alive.

Several opportunities came knocking for the Bafut but boys no fruits yielded. Goalkeeper turn striker Ndiforchu Blaise stroke direct 15 minutes of play to give his side the lead but was deflected for a corner kick. Rangers recuperated play, Ndiforchu sent a cross in, no one available to deliver.

First shot on target from Sama Tandjong at the 45th minute for Leopard Sportive despite the domination in ball possession went pass goalkeeper Bintso Anye, to put Leopard ahead. The one minute of additional time from fourth assistant referee wasn’t enough for Rangers to level scores ending the first segment.

Second Half

Upon return for the second half of the game Coach Djam Georges and his boys maintained the dominance with a one nil lead. Barely fifteen into play Adolphe Mouandjo Mbella with a header doubled scores for Leapord.

A disappointing lead for Rangers Fans but the tables turned five minutes later when Ndiforchu Blaise netted the first goal for Rangers FC.

In an attempt to strengthen the attack line Tsam Oliver was substituted for Vofack Bright.

Ndiforchu Blaise’s goal was a moral booster for side that recuperated, engaged in several cross ins and strikes on started but goalkeeper Eugene Nkoue of Leopard kept his post safe.

At twilight of the game, Leopard Sportive gained a Free-kick from the goalkeeper’s poor performance at the edge of the 18 meter box which beautifully converted by Sama Tandjong to the third goal of the encounter ending the game 3#1 in favour of Leopard.
