Foncha Street FC of Bamenda have played a 1#1 game with visiting side Ofta of Kribi in their first game of the 2020/2021 football season.
First game of the season for both sides in the Elite Two championship played on home soil for Foncha Street FC Saturday March 6, 2021, at the Yong Sports Academy Stadium.
Two goals scored via penalty shoot-outs by Brilant Awah for Foncha Street FC of Bamenda and Emmanuel Njoh Njoh for Ofta of Kribi. Both sides back home a point each.
Njiki Simplice’s boys kick-started the game mounting much pressure on visiting side Ofta of Kribi. They used the first five minutes of the game to prove how determined they are to mount the top positions.
Fonch Street FC used the median to be the barrier for their opponent. A much easy within the first 15 minutes of play.

Substitution for Ofta, Emmanuel Ewodo Mbongue gave way for Abdoulaye Nkouty.

It gradually became difficult for Foncha Street as Ofta took the lead during the second segment of the game. Winning two corner kicks within 50 seconds.

Awullu Sale substituted for Bertrand Ngwang, Jude Kongnyuy took the place of Brice Kamdem while Germain Such was substituted for Aritle Ngwa Acha.

As the game went on, Ofta’s quest for an equaliser became successful when Emmanuel Njoh Njoh through a penalty shoot-out brought smiles to faces of their supporters.
Coach Njiki Simplice in search of home victory, made tactical changes. Brilant Awah gave way for Javis Akem, Bertrand Tata substituted for Fontem Jerome.
All struggles by both sides ended in a 1#1.
