Cameroon Elite Two outfit sides Aigle Royal of Menoua and Lion Blesse of Fortuni have regained their second tier status per a court verdict made public on Tuesday October 13, 2020.
According to the Cameroon consilation and Arbitration chambers, the complain made by both Clubs requesting reinstatement in the second tier Championship are valid.
Aigle and Lion Blesse of Fortuni were relegated from the Elite two championship at the end of the 2018 season’s relegation playoffs in which they finished 12th and 13th in the 14 Clubs championship.
According to the complaints submitted by both Clubs the championship’s regulations for that allow for the relegation of just the bottom Club (Bang Bullets FC).
This has been applied in the top-flight Championship with New Stars and Astres back in the top-flight Championship.
If the decision is implemented, the Cameroon Elite Two championship will have 15 Club in the competition when the new season gets underway later this year.
