Astre of Douala have completed the signing of experienced Cameroonian center-back Axel Ndzana Ngolo from ex rivals Union Sportive of Douala.
The defender has signed a two-year deal with the Brazilians of Bepanda after seeing out his contract with the Nasara Gamakai in a season to forget in which he scored twice in 14 appearances as a center-back.
Despite interest from a number of clubs, Astre announced on Tuesday that they have signed and register the one-time Canon sweeper ahead of the upcoming season.
Ndzana who has skippered Canon Yaounde and Union Sportive of Douala will be a worthwhile option for Coach Anicet Mbarga Foe heading into the new season whose kick-off date is yet to be announced.
In the meantime, Ndzana has joined the rest of the Astre squad preparing for the final of the 2021 cup of Cameroon though the player is ineligible for the game against PWD, having featured for Union Sportive of Douala in the same competition earlier this season.
