Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda has announced that experienced coach Jules-Fredric Nyongha, will accompany the team in their decisive last games of the season.
The yellow Submarines are currently just five points above the drop zone, and have won just one of their last 12 games.
Following the resignation of Nkabyo Martin as lead trainer, the team was handed to Ndikum Blaise and Njoya George Koubou on interim basis. The duo have been in charged for three games and have failed to win any.
The communication unit of the club on Sunday evening announced that former indomitable lions coach Jules-Fredric Nyongha, will accompany the interim technical staff in their quest to maintain in the top flight. The 76_year_old tactician visited the team on Sunday afternoon in Yaounde, to give some encouraging words to the players and staff.
” it was an important moment being with the team. The team has very talented players and I am impressed with the quality of their performance during the first half but because of their lack of experience they didn’t continue. After the criticism from the last game, the boys have decided to do their best to grab all 3 points on Tuesday” Jules-Fredric Nyongha said via YOSA’s communication unit.
YOSA will be hoping that the rich experience of Jules-Fredric Nyongha makes an instant impact on the team, as they face Djiko FC on Tuesday.
Jules had three stints with the Cameroon national team between 1992 and 2007. He has coached Elite one sides like Union of Douala, Douala Athletic Club, Bamboutos of Mbouda and his last managerial appearance being Unisport of Bafang in 2019.
