Cameroon Elite One Champions PWD Social Club of Bamenda will face newly-promoted YAFOOT FC in the Cameroon top-flight season opener this Sunday.
According to our sources both sides have been informed about the fixture and plans are underway for a befitting event which will also mark the handing over of the champions crown to the reigning Cameroon champions.
The game is expected to be played at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé-Cameroon and will bring an end to a close to a year break for footballers across the country.
PWD dified bookmakers last term to claim the top-flight crown last season while YAFOOT were promoted as runners-up to Astres of Douala in the second tier championship.
Earlier this Wednesday, the Cameroon Football Federation received the go-ahead to use national pitches for the first and second tier championship from the country’s ministry of sports and physical education.
The rest of the games will be played across the country next week.
