54-year-old Egyptian National Ehad Galal has been appointed head coach of Egyptian National football team following the resignation of Portuguese national Carlos Queiroz.
Ehad Galal was appointed by the Egyptian Football Federation this Tuesday April 12, 2022 and is expected to correct the mistakes of his predecessor who resigned on March 29, 2022.
Unable to win the 2021 African Cup of Nations against the Teranga lions of Senegal on February 6, 2022, and failing to qualify the national selection for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be stage in Qatar, 69-year-old Carlos Queiroz took to his official Twitter handle to announce his resigning as lead trainer of Egypt National team.
Galal as he is fondly called, is a household name in Egyptian local football and is currently serving as head coach of Pyramids FC . He has had a stint in China from 1999-2000 before returning to the country.
This is the second coach leading Egyptian National team in Under 15 months.
