Egypt and Liverpool Forward, Mohammed Salah, has donated the Sum of 3 million Egyptian pounds to victims of the fire incident at a Coptic Church on Sunday.
The fire disaster claimed 41 lives in Giza, not long from the Country’s Capital City, Cairo as over 1000 people gathered to worship in the church known as the St Abu Seifein church.
The fire outbreak is alleged to have been due to an electrical fault which saw many struggling to rush out, thereby causing a stampede.
According to CNN, at least 18 children were among the dead.
Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi,has ordered that the church be rebuild after extending a Condolence message to the bereaved family.
Mo Salah will now aid in the process of Rebuilding the church and helping out the Victims through his generous donation.
This is just one of Mo Salah’s Philanthropic gestures. He has been noted for always carrying out Charitable works to the needed in his country home and beyond.
It should be noted that, in June 2022, Salah was acknowledged by UK newspaper “The Sunday Times” as the 8th most charitable person in Britain.
