View of Edo Queens FC New Camp

Coaches and players of Edo Queens’ FC have commended Governor Godwin Enogheghase Obaseki and his Deputy Rt. Hon. Phillip Shaibu for building a brand new players camp for the state female team.

The edifice which has a capacity of accommodating 50 players including officials, is located in a choice area the state capital Benin-City.

Head of Edo Queens’ FC Technical Crew Rollanson Odeh, who described the camp as magnificent, said the entire management squad has every reason to be grateful to God for using Governor Godwin Obaseki and his amiable Deputy Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu to rewrite the history of female football in the state.

“In fact this is highly commendable. I’m delighted and my heart filled with joy. As the head of the technical crew, I want to thank the state government for their visionary leadership and this great achievement. This is a magnificent building, which called for celebration. It is a big blessed to all sport-loving people of Edo State. I thank everyone that has made this dream a reality.”

“I also want to thank the chairman of the club, our pragmatic hard-working Mama Madam Sabina for her motherly care. I want to assure her that Edo Queens’ will not disappoint the state. She has been our mainstay in the club. God bless everyone in Edo Queens’. He concluded.

It is hoped that the construction of the club’s new camp will go a long way in motivating the club towards optimal performance in the Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL when the season kicks off after the CoronaVirus pandemic.

Edo Queens were drawn in Group A alongside Pelican Stars, Nasarawa Amazons, Sunshine Queens, Confluence Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Dream Stars Ladies, and Abia Angels ahead of 2019-2020 commencement of the league before the outbreak of CoronaVirus pandemic.
