The road to continental ticket will be opened on Monday, April 19, 2021, at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, when the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six kicks off.
Edo Queens striker, Temilope Owoeye says she is motivated alongside her teammates to pick one of Nigeria’s tickets for the 2021 Total CAF Women’s Champions League at the Super Six.
“I am highly motivated with my teammates and I believe if we play according to our coach instruction, we will surely pick CAF ticket because we are working hard every day and we are well focused. We are going to Ijebu Ode with a champion mindset to pick the CAF ticket.” Temilope told www.kick442.com ahead of next week’s Super Six.
Owoeye scored her first league goal for Edo Queens on February 24, 2021. The goal was a crucial one as it propelled her side to a 1-0 victory over 2019 Super Four finalist, Confluence Queens.
“Scoring against Confluence Queens is a thing of joy because coming in from the bench to give my team the winning goal at the exact time we need the goal is always a memory to remember in my career.
I feel happy, and good scoring the lone goal against a good side like Confluence Queens and I want to score more in the super 6.” Says Owoeye.
Temilope Owoeye is one of the rising stars of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.
The former Katsina Queens forward joined Edo Queens from Jokodolu Babes in 2019. She is energetic and still learning through the ropes game in game out in the league.
Edo Queens will trade tackles with Bayelsa Queens, Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, FC Robo Queens, and Sunshine Queens for the Total CAF Women’s Champions League ticket when the NWFL Premiership Super Six kicks off.
