The management of 2017 Cameroon Elite One champions Eding Sport de la Lekie have reacted to their slow start to the season by firing lead trainer François Heya with immediate effect.
Sunday’s one-nil defeat to Bamboutos FC of Mbouda made it two defeats in a row amounting to president Saint Fabien Mvogo’s decision of replacing Heya with Stephane Ndzana from this Monday.
Ndzana brings a bag of experience having been lead trainer of two of Cameroon’s most celebrated Clubs; Canon Yaounde and TKC of the same city.
Coach Ndzana is no stranger to the Eding environment having been technical director of the Club’s women’s team in the early stages of the current season.
Ndzana who has signed a contract for the rest of the season will combine his trainer role at the Club with his being head coach of the Under-17 girls national selection of Cameroon.
Eding Sport’s management has also reappointed Bonaventure Djonkep as their technical director, paving way for a return to the Club he worked with in the 2017 title winning season and the season after in the same role.
Eding Sport is noted for their brilliance since promotion to the top-flight Championship in 2015 but last season the Club struggled, something management has surely reacted quick quickly to prevent this term.
