Eding Sport de la Lekie have announced the signing of striker Ndoukomi Arthur Eric Cantona from fellow Elite One club Djiko FC on Thursday — the second arrival in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old, who has signed a two-year contract, has moved to 2017 Champions for as a free agent after seeing out a contract of the same duration at Djiko FC.
Eding boss Djonkep Bonaventure was seeking attacking reinforcements for his side, with Ramses Donfack set to leave and Joseph Chamdjou already transfered to Cotonsport.
Cantona named after the Manchester United legend is the club’s second signing this month following the arrival of former Kumba Lakers keeper Bah Rigobert from Foncha Street last week.
Cantona scored 16 goals in 33 matches for Djiko since joining from Apejes of Mfou in 2020, including 10 goals in 21 games this season.
He signed in time to be a part of the new Eding Sport squad when pre season begins next month.
Eding, who have not won a major trophy since 2018, finished vice champions of the Elite One championship in the just-ended season.
