An 11th minute penalty from 2017 AFCON winner Edgar Narcisse Salli of Olympiakos was all his side needed to record a one-nil victory in the second-leg of the 2020-2021 Cypriot cup semi-final.
Both sides wasted a number of chances on Wednesday evening as the visitors who came into the fixture protecting a 4-2 lead managed the game till the end.
The one-nil lead at full-time meant Olympiakos sealed qualification to the final on a 5-2 aggregate score to the satisfaction of coach Čedomir Janevski.
The result means the Club is through to a first cup final since 1991 and Salli and mates are in for an achievement a whole generation hasn’t attained.
The Club is also involved in the championship playoffs fixture against Anorthosis this weekend.
