Stade Renard of Melong is currently enjoying their best run in this season’s Cameroon Elite One championship.
The Moungo based club earned the bragging rights in the latest Moungo derby played last Sunday in Melong.
A goal from attacking midfielder Temga Roger was all they needed to compound UMS’ problems this campaign.
Having been through huge pressure due to the poor results at the start of the season, Coach Bertin Ebwelle seems to have found the right Chemistry as in the last six match days.
The start of 2020 has been very impressive for the gaffer and his boys.
Nkuissi Thomas Legrand and his team mates have recorded wins against YOSA and UMS at home plus another away to Canon in Yaounde. Draws against PWD, Fortuna and Cotonsport completes that run.
The good run has taken the club to the 7th spot with nine points separating them from leaders Colombe of Dja.
They stay at home as host of 15th-placed Avion Academy in match-day 23 of the championship this Wednesday.
Should coach Ebwelle Bertin keep his team motivated and keep the same run of results then it won’t be surprising to hear some optimistic fans of the club talking title success talk especially with the thoughts of their coach’s success with Cotonsportin 2018 still fresh.
