Ivorian International midfielder, Eboue Kouassi completes a move to Belgium giants KRC Genk after an unpleasurable affair with Celtic of Scotland.
With four matches for Genk following his loan move from Celtic, the Belgium club are confident of the lad’s ability and ready to work with him for three more years.
Genk confirmed the deal with a statement reading:”KRC Genk has activated the option to buy midfielder Eboue Kouassi, 22.
“The Ivorian midfielder is taken outright from Celtic. Kouassi is now signed up until 2024.
“Due to a minor injury and the corona crisis, he has only played in four games so far, but Kouassi was in the starting XI for three games and completed the 90 minutes in the last two.
“He was able to convince everyone at the club of his qualities.”
Kouassi, 22 couldn’t seal a place at the Parkhead after a serious knee injury in 2018 against Hearts.
The Ivorian made 22 appearances over three years without a goal after arriving from Russian side FC Krasnodar in 2017 for £2.8million.
He is yet to play for the Ivory Coast National Team even though he had been invited twice in 2016 for a 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Morocco and a friendly against France.
A similar player like ”Phillipe Coutinho” or ” Raheem Sterling” according to former Celtic Boss, Brendan Rogers, a new lease of life has been afforded the starlet to reveal his potentials.
