The 2020 edition of the Ebolowa Huguette Forestière” tennis open Final has been programmed for this Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
The final of the eighth edition will be played in front of the promoter of the Tennis tournament, Marcel Noah Alima, and Governor of the South Region, Félix Nguele Nguele.
The Huguette Forestière open is one of the most important tennis meeting in Cameroon and one of the most popular in Central Africa. The winner of the final in the men’s category is expected to go home with FCFA 1million. FCFA 500,000 has been reserved for the winner in the women’s category.
In the Senior Men’s single category, a total of 58 registered to participate in the event. For the Senior Ladies, the tournament saw 38 registered to participate. The competition that started on Saturday, December 19, 2020, has been taking place at the Nkovo’s Tennis club in Ebolowa.
The tournament has definitively shown its solidarity and openness to the sub-region (Central Africa) and West Africa, with participation from Gabon (Willy Lebenge, Gabonese number 1; Célestine Avomo Gabonese number 1), and Franco-Beninese Alexi Klegou (Beninese number 1).
The tournament has attracted guest from both Cameroon and the international level. Cameroonian tennis names: Blaise Kwenty, Étienne Teboh, Linda Eloundou, Stéphanie Mformi, Tabeth Tadoum among others have all savoured the beauty and competitiveness shown by the players of the Ebolowa “Huguette Forestière” Tennis Open.
