Queens Park Rangers rising Star, Eberechi Eze has left room for further debate on his international career as he says he is not in a rush to make decision to play for England or Nigeria.
Eze, who is of Nigerian descent but born in Greenwich England, is focusing on becoming better and improving his present state.
The 21- year-old player answers when asked in a chat by The Beautiful Game Podcast if he will consider playing for Nigeria.
“I don’t want to make a rush decision, as much as it would be a privilege to play for either (England or Nigeria). It will be a great honour to play for both.”
“I am just enjoying my football right now and I don’t want any added pressure on my mindset. I don’t want to focus on the wrong things. I want to focus on what has got me to this position, continue doing it, wherever it takes me.”
He confirms he has been contacted by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and they understand his stance.
Though he made his debut for the English under 21 male team last year, the striker is can still play for the Nigeria Senior male team.
Should he decide to join the Nigerian National Team, Eze who has scored 12 goals with 8 assists for QPR, will join the likes of Alex Iwobi, Osaze Odemwingie, Victor Moses amongst others who opted to play for the Super Eagles instead of their foreign countries they were also eligible for.
