Nigerian forward David Okereke was the star man for Belgian side Club Brugge as he produced a magical performance in front of his home fans in their 6-0 humiliation of Sint-Truidense VV, with fellow Nigerian Dennis Emmanuel also opening his season account.

Playing in front of his home fans for the first time in the league, the summer acquisition showed his intent from the blast of the whistle as he opened scoring on 15 minutes after showing smart composure to tuck home the ball from 8 yards.
Okereke then doubled his side lead 5 minutes later as he latched on to a neat through ball from defender Simon Deli as he beat the offside trap to make it 2-0 much to the joy of the home fans present at the stadium.

Midfielder Hans Vanken then made it 3-0 with a smart header on the 38th minute before Okereke completed a memorable first 45 minute as he set up South Africa’s Percy Tau who’s cheeky lob made it 4-0 to the host.
The 21-year-old was then withdrawn five minutes after the hour mark, with Dream Team VI forward Dennis Emmanuel making it 5-0 with a simple tapping before substitute Siebe Schrijvers completed the annihilation seven minutes from time.

Okereke was however adjudged the man of the match having been directly involved in three goals in the clash with his strike also moving him to the joint top goal scorer in the league with 3 goals and 1 assist from his opening two league games.
