German League
Super Eagles left-back, Jamilu Collins will play in the German top flight league next season after helping his Bundesliga 2 outfit SC Paderborn seal a historic promotion to the Bundesliga in a nervy finish to the end of the season.
With just one point above third-placed Union Berlin, Jamilu and his teammates had just one task to do which was to better or match Union Berli8n result to help them seal the second automatic promotion spot.
But despite taking an early lead away at Dynamo Dresden the visitors capitulated afterward as the host struck twice through Barik Atik in the first half to lead 2-1 at half time.
The visitors, however, came out firing in the second half but conceded a third just after the hour mark when Barik Atik completed his hat-trick but the defeat proved inconsequential as news of Union Berlin 2-2 away at VFL Bochum ensured Paderborn clinched second place with a +5 goal difference.
Collins, 24, was an ever-present member of the squad as they sealed promotion back to the Bundesliga for the first time since the 2013/2014 season, featuring in all 34 games for the club.
